Type Approval (TA) is the requirement for ICT Equipment to comply with specific technical standards and specification. Such equipment must be registered with the NICTA before it can be used, sold or distributed in PNG.
NICTA is empowered by the NICT Act, 2009 and NICT Spectrum Regulation 2012 to administer and enforce the framework for approval of ICT equipment offered for sale or intended for connection to ICT networks in Papua New Guinea.
