Security Capabilities and Policy for Transmission of Payment
What information do we collect and how do we use it?: To send an online Application for Equipment Type Approval by the National ICT Authority of Papua New Guinea (NICTA PNG), you are required to create an account at ‘ta.nicta.gov.pg’. In the process of creating your account, you will need to provide us with:
- your name
- e-mail address
- phone contact details
- company/employer details/region/country
- shipping and billing address
- payment details for non-credit card (e.g., VISA CARD etc…)
- credit card details if paying by credit card
As the Type Approval process involves the assessment of branded electronic devices and equipment for use in Papua New Guinea (PNG), we would require the above information for our own records, as well as processing your application successfully. It would also help us to maintain your account.
How does ‘ta.nicta.gov.pg’ protect customer information?
Our website uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) which is the current standard encryption technology for keeping an internet connection secure and safeguarding sensitive information that is being transmitted between a website and a user’s device. This means that all user data that we collect through our online forms are encrypted and protected from unauthorized access.
Credit Card Details
All credit card details are processed securely through our payment processor, the Bank of South Pacific Internet Payment Gateway (BSP IPG) and BSP Pay. The BSP IPG handles all VISA card payments, while BSP Pay provides an optional payment method for local PNG BSP card holders.
By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of this information by NICTA’s Type Approval Website. If we decide to change our Security Capabilities & Policy for Transmission of Payment Policy, we will post those changes here so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it.
